Ultimate Tic-Tac-Toe

Ultimate Tic-Tac-Toe takes the game you already know and makes it genuinely hard to think about.

Instead of one 3×3 board, there are nine of them arranged in a larger grid. Win a small board by getting three in a row. Win the game by claiming three small boards in a row. The catch: every move you make determines which board your opponent must play in next.

That single rule changes everything. Sending your opponent to a board that's almost full gives them a free choice. Sending them somewhere you're close to winning hands them the chance to block you. Every cell has consequences two levels deep.

How to play

• On your first turn, play anywhere
• After that, the cell you pick determines which board your opponent plays in next
• If you send them to a won or full board, they get a free choice
• Win three small boards in a row to win the match
